The UNC women’s soccer team officially announced its 2025 regular-season schedule Monday morning.

The reigning national champions will begin their title defense with two home exhibition matches in August. UNC-Wilmington visits Dorrance Field on August 6, and Wake Forest visits three days later for a national championship rematch. The Demon Deacons and Tar Heels aren’t scheduled to meet during the regular season.
UNC’s season officially begins with a road match at Tennessee on August 14. The official home opener comes on August 17, when the Tar Heels host Siena. Notable non-conference matchups include a road match at Georgia (August 21), a home date with Alabama (September 4) and a visit to James Madison (September 7). The conference slate begins with a road match at Virginia Tech (November 11) before an ACC Championship rematch against Florida State in Chapel Hill on September 17.
Other notable ACC fixtures are visits to Notre Dame (September 25) and Duke (October 12), as well as a home matchup against Pittsburgh on October 5. UNC closes out the regular season by hosting NC State for Senior Night on October 30. The Tar Heels and Wolfpack did not meet during the 2024 season.
The ACC Tournament is scheduled for November 2-9, and the NCAA Tournament begins November 14. In a departure from recent years, the 2025 NCAA College Cup will be held in Kansas City instead of Cary.

Returning to the team in 2025 are reigning Hermann Award winner Kate Faasse, NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Offensive Player Olivia Thomas and ACC All-Freshman honoree Linda Ullmark. The 2025 season will be the first with Damon Nahas as the permanent head coach. Nahas coached the 2024 season under an interim tag following the retirement of Anson Dorrance, but was named the full-time head coach the week of UNC’s national title win last December.
