Music legend Loretta Lynn's granddaughter, Emmy Russell, 26, shared a family update over the weekend asking for fans' support as she revealed that her infant daughter, Taylor, was going through a health crisis.
On July 20, Russell and her husband, Tyler Ward, shared a video on Instagram, with the caption reading, "Taylor has been fussy & crying for the last few days and we assumed it was teething… but this morning Tyler noticed small spasms."

"We filmed it and rushed to the doctor. They confirmed it could be small seizures and asked us to stay overnight for testing," the message went on. "It's a different kind of hard right now. We're asking for your prayers, we truly believe they could make all the difference tonight."
In the clip, the couple said that, over the past few days, they "noticed that little Taylor has had some small seizures, and we took her to the hospital today." They explained that Taylor was getting tested and watched overnight, and the doctors were "really concerned" about some "little spasms" their baby was having.
"I really want answers," said Russell, before Ward asked any fans to let them know if they had experienced something similar with their baby. Russell continued, "It's very lonely going through this kind of stuff. Like we've been crying all day long."

Early Monday morning, Russell shared an update on the situation, saying of her daughter Taylor, "She did spasm this morning. She has the EEG, so we will see what her results are and next steps. The neurologist should be coming in very soon." An EEG test measures a person's brain activity. Fans flooded the comments with support for the couple as they deal with this hardship.
Russell is the daughter of Patsy Lynn and Philip Russell. She married Ward in 2024 and the couple welcomed their daughter Taylor at the end of January 2025.
