COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Two people are dead and another two are injured after a car crashed into an embankment and caught fire on the far north side of Columbus.
Columbus police told NBC4 that officers were called to 8422 Sawmill Road near Powell just after 10:45 p.m. on a report of a crash. One vehicle was going south on Sawmill Rd. and just after crossing the road, crashed into an embankment and caught on fire.
At least four people were injured as a result of the crash. Two of them were pronounced dead at the scene while two others were hospitalized. One victim went to Nationwide Children's Hospital in stable condition while another victim went to Ohio State's main hospital in stable condition as well.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time as police continue to investigate.
