Law enforcement along the Indiana-Kentucky border arrested a woman driving an ice cream truck for drug possession after she was pulled over for speeding, authorities said.
Police in Tell City, approximately 50 miles east of Evansville, arrested Sherri Pool for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating while intoxicated.
According to police, Pool was speeding in an ice cream truck along New State Road 237 on Thursday, prompting an officer to pull her over. The officer obtained probable cause and conducted a search of the vehicle, which turned up drugs including methamphetamine, controlled substances and legend drugs, police stated.
A Tell City police officer, who is certified as a drug recognition expert, conducted testing on Pool for a possible drug impairment, authorities said.
