ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Rochester firefighters were working to put out a house fire on 7th Street on Saturday evening.
The son of a woman in the home said his mother was trapped in the bathroom with the fire. He was able to get her out before the fire spread from the bathroom to all the rooms upstairs.
He said that his mom is alright and has some burns.
“Mom’s fine, she’s just shooken up.”
He has not been back in the house to see the extent of the damage, but he thinks the upstairs is destroyed.
