A man was shot and killed by two El Paso County sheriff’s deputies in a neighborhood near Security-Widefield late Friday night after he attacked them and managed to get one of their Tasers, officials said.
Deputies were called to a home in the 6500 block of Tranters Creek Way at 11:32 p.m. when someone reported a disturbance involving a gun, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
The deputies found a gun in the driveway and made contact with a man and woman inside the home. When they detained the man, he “became physically aggressive towards deputies and obtained control of a deputy’s Taser,” sheriff’s officials said.
