GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Gastonia Police say a suspect is dead after a shooting involving GPD officers.
It is unclear when exactly the incident occurred; however, officials first publicly reported the shooting around 4 a.m. on Friday, July 18.
According to authorities, officers were involved in a shooting at a home on Hickory Hollow Road near Tree Haven Court. This is in a neighborhood between Hoffman Road and South New Hope Road in southeast Gastonia.
GPD confirms that one person, a suspect, was killed in the incident. Officials have not said what led up to the incident or if anyone else was hurt.
