ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Sienna Fallone, a rising junior at Aquinas Institute, is not taking a break this summer. The soccer star recently spent a week training with the Under-16 U.S. National Team, showcasing her skills among top talent.
“I’m just going to keep working hard, keep trying to be the best version of myself and putting in the work,” Fallone said.
In May, Fallone attended the U16 National Team training camp, an experience she described as exhilarating.
“Being in that atmosphere, it’s just such a cool feeling, because it just really hits you,” she said. “It was so awesome playing with such top talent, playing with such amazing coaches.”
Fallone’s technical skills on the field earned her the invite.
“I’m a very technical player. I love the ball, I love playing with the ball, I love keeping the ball, I love having the ball,” Fallone said. “And also just obviously trying to create goals.”
Despite her achievements, Fallone remains humble and eager to apply what she learned at Aquinas this fall.
“I learned more about nutrition and recovery and stuff, so taking those with me. And you learn different game tactics and models, so just being adaptable and learning those types of skills,” Fallone said.
Her goals include winning a Sectional title and a State championship. Fallone is confident about her future in college soccer but knows there’s always room for improvement.
“Trusting in yourself and believing in yourself, but also knowing that you can always get better and you can always continue to advance in different areas in the game,” Fallone said. “Knowing that maybe I’m strong in this area, but I can get stronger.”
Fallone plans to keep working hard this summer to be ready for the upcoming season.
