On Wednesday, July 16, Queen Camilla was busy with multiple royal engagements, including one for which she was named Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom.

"The Royal Navy have appointed The Queen as Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom at a ceremony on HMS Astute to mark the end of the Submarine’s first commission," the royal family captioned an Instagram update from the outing.
Queen Camilla is the first woman to receive the honorary title, which can only be appointed by the reigning monarch after a nomination by the First Sea Lord—currently, Sir Gwyn Jenkins.
“Each time I have met your Commanding Officers and visited the submarine, I am reminded of the exceptional servicemen and women in our Royal Navy," she said of the visit.

Queen Camilla's honor was on the same day she visited Little Bridge House, which is part of Children's Hospice South West, in Barnstaple, England. During that appearance she met with staff, volunteers and family members of patients as the hospice celebrated its 30th anniversary.
