ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday for stabbing a 15-year-old during a fight on an RTS bus, leaving him with a serious eye injury.
Nahziiryahzihn Ali was charged with attempted murder and assault and went on trial back in May. We’re working to learn which charges he will be sentenced on.
The stabbing happened in late October while the bus was driving on Long Pond Road near the Mall at Greece Ridge. Police say Ali and the victim knew each other and the fight started over a previous dispute. Police believe Ali started the fight, pulling out a folding knife.
At the time, the victim was facing vision loss. Out of privacy for the teen, police have not provided any updates as he heals.
