Based on a 5 book series by Virgin River author Robyn Carr, Sullivan’s Crossing tells the story of Maggie Sullivan (Kohan) who, in the wake of legal difficulties, has to return to her rural Nova Scotia hometown where she must navigate reconnecting with her estranged father (Patterson) and a complicated romance with Cal (Murray).
The hit Canadian show premiered on the Canadian network CTV in 2023. Already renewed for a 4th season in Canada, the United States fate of Sullivan’s Crossing was at first unclear, ShowSnob reported. Once it skyrocketed to the number 1 position in the United States on Netflix, though, things changed for the fan favorite show. Just hours before the Sullivan’s Crossing season 3 finale was due to air on The CW in the United States, the network announced a 10-episode order for season 4. Season 3 is set to arrive on Netflix in the United States in August.
