HENRIETTA, N.Y. — Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested three people after they say they were involved in a stabbing Tuesday night in Henrietta.
At around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a home on Reids Grove for a report of weapons at the home. They say while on the way, they were also told several people were stabbed, and the suspects cars left the home.
Deputies say when they got there, the victim said Kamel Lofton, 33, and Azaria Hester, 21, who are known to the victim, pulled into the driveway and attacked the victim with knives.
The victim got away from Kamel Lofton and Hester, and deputies say the victim went back inside to get a kitchen knife, with the fight then continuing outside.
A few minutes later, deputies say Lareeka Lofton, 31, showed up and tried to stop the fight and suffered a stab wound. They also say a 15-year-old also tried to stop it and suffered a stab wound.
According to deputies, Lareeka Lofton tried to hit another person with her car. Deputies were able to find her leaving the area, pulled her over, and detained her.
Other deputies were able to find Kamel Lofton and Hester’s car on East River Road and made a traffic stop, detaining the two. Deputies say a child was found inside the car and they contacted Child Protective Services.
All three of the suspects were brought to the hospital, but later released. Kamel Lofton and Hester are charged with the following:
Assault in the second-degree Endangering the welfare of a child.Lareeka Lofton was charged with reckless endangerment in the first-degree. Lareeka Lofton and Hester were both released. Kamel Lofton, who deputies say is a repeat convicted felon, was remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $5,00 cash bail, $30,000 bond.
