A Fox News contributor is leaving the network for a short while to focus on her ongoing journey with breast cancer. Kat Timpf shared the latest update on her health during a segment of Gutfeld!. She also shared a clip of the segment via her Instagram page on July 15.
In the caption of her Instagram post, Timpf wrote, "I'll be back on Gutfeld! in a few weeks! Huge thanks to those of you who have taken the time to offer me words of kindness and support. I love u all so much."

As she announced her temporary departure on Gutfeld!, Timpf noted that all along, she had been open about needing additional surgeries as she continues treatments for breast cancer.
Timpf said she would be out "for a couple of weeks," adding that "even the best-case scenario of breast cancer can involve quite a road to feeling whole again."
She noted that the upcoming surgery is the "first step" in her journey in that regard, and she wanted to let fans know why she would be away from the show for a bit.
The Fox News correspondent also thanked everybody for "your support and vibes and prayers or however you show that." She said she is eager to be back after her surgery.
Timpf's journey with breast cancer began in February.
In a February 25 Instagram post, she announced the birth of her first son in addition to the discovery that she had breast cancer. Timpf explained, "About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer."
Luckily, she noted, her doctors determined the cancer was found very early, and she was told it was stage 0. She has since had a double mastectomy.
The comment section of Timpf's latest Instagram post was flooded with support and love.
One comment of support read, "The show isn't the same without you -- take care of yourself and looking forward to your return!"
Another supporter wrote, "Love ya Kat! Rest up, heal up, kick this thing to the curb, and GET BACK TO WORK."
Someone else noted they were "impressed with your openness and honesty!"
