A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Tuesday morning on the 110 Freeway near the USC campus and Exposition Park in Los Angeles
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 4:50 a.m. to the northbound side of the freeway near the Exposition Boulevard exit, where they learned a man attempted to run across the freeway and was struck by at least one vehicle, CHP Officer Ramon Kendricks told City News Service.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Debris from the collision was scattered over several lanes of the freeway, the CHP reported.
Officers questioned three drivers whose vehicles might have been involved in the collision.
The crash initially closed all lanes of the northbound freeway at Exposition, and a Sigalert was issued. Two lanes were soon reopened. All were reopened, and the Sigalert was canceled, by about 7:30 a.m.
