No, Britney Spears has not adopted a baby girl. And, no, she isn't moving to Italy, either — according to TMZ.
Both claims were made in a confusing Instagram post that Spears shared on July 12.
"I haven’t worked out in years so I put this little pink one piece on and PLAYED !!! How are you beautiful people this morning ??? I need coffee and I want to let you guys know I adopted a beautiful baby girl !!! Her name is Lennon London Spears!!!" Spears captioned the post, which included a video of herself dancing in a pink leotard.
"This is 30 seconds of my random silly workout !! I hate working out but 3 hours of my footage was all stolen !!! It kinda hurt my stomach to see it disappear because well I sweat my ass off and had a white jacket on !!! Lennon today has on adorable dress!!! It says I’m NEW HERE !!! SO PLEASE STOP TALKING TRASH AMERICA !!! I’ve decided to move to Italy," Spears added.
Within the post, she included plenty of winking face emoji as well as silly face emoji, perhaps suggesting that she was joking around. A few hours later, TMZ reported that Spears' post was nothing more than her being playful.

Meanwhile, Spears fans have taken to Reddit to discuss the post, with many of her longtime fans quickly realizing that Spears was having some online fun and that her post likely wasn't serious.
"I think it’s a reborn baby doll, i think i remember her posting them randomly on her page," one person wrote.
"Britney trolling the media continues to be the most entertaining form of justice," someone else said.
Spears hasn't been shy about her desire to have another baby and has consistently said that she'd love to have a daughter. However, this particular post appears to be a stream of consciousness and nothing more.
