The BBC has unveiled new images from Here We Go season 3 and announced the line-up of guest stars for the latest episodes of the popular family sitcom.
The series, created by Tom Basden, follows the misadventures of the Jessop family, including mother Rachel (Katherine Parkinson, Rivals), father Paul (Jim Howick, Ghosts) and grandmother Sue (Alison Steadman, Gavin & Stacey).
Six more farcical stories are on the way in the third season, which premieres on BBC One and iPlayer at 9pm on Friday 25th July, with details on two of those chapters being shared exclusively with RadioTimes.com.
The third episode, titled Robin's LARP Festival, will see Rachel's hapless brother (played by series creator Basden) drag the Jessops to a live-action roleplaying event, which involves dressing up to "drink mead and have sword fights in the woods".
You can see their costuming efforts above, including a regal fit for Robin's heavily pregnant partner, Cherry (Tori Allen-Smith, on the far right-hand side), and a bold transformation for My Lady Jane's Tom Gaskin (far left-hand side).
Gaskin is one of several guest stars to feature in Here We Go season 3, with Absolutely Fabulous icon Jane Horrocks joining in the role of Ethel Ticehurst – Sue's rival in a high-stakes game of Uno (see below).
The guest list for Here We Go season 3 also includes Robert Glenister (Sherwood), Jamali Maddix (Hate Thy Neighbour), Susannah Fielding (This Time With Alan Partridge) and Seb Cardinal (Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy).
Meanwhile, Jon Furlong (Adolescence) and Ed Kear (The Batman) will reprise their roles as Jelson and Dean, with Sunil Patel (Mandy), Kevin 'KG' Garry (Ted Lasso), Kathryn Drysdale (Bridgerton) and Stevie Martin (Taskmaster) also set to feature.
The synopses for Robin's LARP Festival and Granny's Uno Hustle tease further details about the show's ongoing storylines, including Paul stepping into the trusted position of 'buddy' to a junior police officer. "Poor lad," the teaser laments.
Meanwhile, episode 5's logline reveals that Jessop daughter Amy (Freya Parks) and her long-time girlfriend Maya (Mica Ricketts) will be going through "a bit of a rough patch", which Rachel exploits for a chance to practice her couples therapy skills.
If you're intrigued to see just how badly wrong it all goes, be sure to tune into Here We Go season 3 later this month.
