Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters cast in full

Seven celebrities are diving in at the deep end to confront their greatest fear in the ITV show Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters.

A host of comedians, actors, pop stars and presenters are heading off on an adrenaline-fuelled journey to the Bahamas in a bid to beat their unease around the marine beasts.

The group, which includes Sir Lenny Henry, Rachel Riley and Dougie Poynter, are tasked with diving with a different species of shark, as the breeds get bigger and more dangerous.

Filmed on Bimini in the Bahamas, the island is home to between seven and 10 different shark types, including Hammerheads, Bull sharks and Tiger sharks.

The five-part series, which starts on ITV on Monday 14 July at 9pm and will air weekly, also invites viewers to reconsider their assumptions about one of nature’s most misunderstood predators.

Katie Rawcliffe, ITV’s head of entertainment commissioning, said: “We’re super excited to be combining the work of Plimsoll – a Blue Chip natural history production company – with the expertise of ITV Entertainment.

“Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime challenge for some of the bravest celebrities out there.”
