Scottie Scheffler’s odds have also been drifted a touch for the PGA Tour tournament, from 9/2 to 5/1, but is still the big favourite once again for another big title this season.

Matt Fitzpatrick and Justin Rose both had top ten finishes in Scotland.
As such they’ve also had their prices shorten from 50/1 into 40/1 still presenting each-way value in the Open.
Chris Gotterup beat McIlroy in Scotland’s Renaissance Club and secured his second PGA Tour.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Rory McIlroy came within a whisker of his second Scottish Open title and while golf fans may have been hoping to see him go one better, his runner-up finish was a reasonably good result for us ahead of The Open.
“Robert MacIntyre once again proved popular with punters, attracting the most selections at 7.4%, just ahead of McIlroy (6.8%) and Ludvig Aberg (6.4%). But in terms of money staked, Rory was head and shoulders above the rest, taking in 18.2% of all tournament stakes, with Aberg next best at 7.1%.
“Looking ahead to Royal Portrush, McIlroy’s Open odds have been clipped into 6/1 from 13/2 following his strong showing in Scotland. Matt Fitzpatrick and Justin Rose also saw support this weekend, both shortening from 50/1 to 40/1, while Scottie Scheffler has eased slightly to 5/1 from 9/2.”
