WAYNE COUNTY, N.Y. – A crash on State Route 31 in Wayne County sent a sheriff’s deputy to the hospital Friday morning.
The driver involved in the collision was charged with reckless driving and received six additional traffic tickets, officials said.
Investigators reported that the crash occurred near the sheriff’s office. A deputy was driving westbound through a work zone when another vehicle came out of the shoulder, leading to the collision.
The deputy was taken to the hospital for a possible head injury, officials said.
