Today's Dylan Dryer shared a rare update on her co-host Sheinelle Jones after her husband Uche Ojeh's death.
During a July 9 interview with Access Hollywood, Dryer spoke about Jones at the 2025 American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament.

“She’s in mom mode right now,” she explained. “She has three young kids that she has to care for. It’s a really tough time for the family.”
Jones and Ojeh married in 2007 and they welcomed a son, Kayin, and boy-girl twins, Uche Jr. and Clara.
Additionally, Dreyer shared that she and her Today co-hosts “are all there to support her in any way we can."
“She’s just taking the time she needs to spend with those kids," she concluded. "I can’t even imagine what they’re going through, what she’s going through, and she’s just being strong for them.”

On May 23 Savannah Guthrie announced on Today that Ojeh died at 45 after a battle with brain cancer.
"With profound sadness, we share this morning that Uche Ojeh, the husband of our dearest friend and Today co-host, Sheinelle Jones, has passed away after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer called glioblastoma," Guthrie revealed.
She added, "There are no words for the pain that we feel for Sheinelle and their three young children. Uche was an incredible person. We all loved him."

"Thank you, for all of your love and support. ❤️," Jones wrote on Instagram that same day alongside a clip of the segment.
Jones has been missing from Today since Dec. 18, 2024, and it's unclear when she will return.
