Jeff Lynne's ELO has canceled their July 13 performance at BST Hyde Park in London after promoting the show as their "final concert ever."
The highly-anticipated concert was canceled after doctors advised Lynne, the frontman and co-founder of the legendary rock band, who is currently "battling a systemic infection," that taking the stage is "simply not possible."

"Jeff Lynne is heartbroken to report that he will not be able to perform at tomorrow's BST Hyde Park show," read a statement from BST Hyde's reps. "Jeff has been battling a systemic infection and is currently in the care of a team of doctors who have advised him that performing is simply not possible at this time nor will he be able to reschedule. The legacy of the band and his longtime fans are foremost in Jeff's mind today — and while he is so sorry that he cannot perform, he knows that he must focus on his health and rehabilitation at this time."
The concert was supposed to be the final stop of the iconic rock group's "Over and Out" Farewell Tour. Their penultimate show, scheduled for Thursday, July 10, was also canceled just minutes before showtime due to Lynne's illness.
In a follow-up statement, BST Hyde announced that Sunday's event will be canceled entirely in the wake of Lynne's exit. Saturday will mark the final night of BST Hyde, and the organization will offer full refunds to ticket holders.
ELO, originally founded as The Electric Light Orchestra in 1970, was co-founded by Lynne along with The Move frontmen Roy Wood and Bev Bevan. The group is known for popular '70s hits such as "Evil Woman," "Livin’ Thing," "Telephone Line" and "Don’t Bring Me Down."
