Three people, including a 6-year-old girl, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in a collision Friday in the Mission Valley East area of San Diego.

The collision occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. Friday when a 2009 Infinity G37 driven by an 18-year-old man, heading westbound in the 3200 block of Camino Del Rio North, near Mission City Parkway, crossed over the solid double-yellow lines and into the eastbound lanes moments before colliding with a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro, injuring the 35-year-old female driver and a 6-year- old female passenger, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment after suffering a fractured thigh bone, while the child was evaluated and treated for a broken shoulder.

The 18-year-old driver of the Infinity suffered a fractured thigh bone and a lacerated spleen, police said.

Alcohol was not considered a determining factor leading to the collision, as SDPD Traffic Division detectives continued an ongoing investigation Friday evening.

Anyone with information regarding the collision was urged to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
