Denver weather: Pinpoint Weather Alert Day for thunderstorms

DENVER (KDVR) — A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day is issued for parts of northeast Colorado as there will be another round of showers and thunderstorms in Denver weather on Friday evening. Some storms will produce lightning, wind and hail. There could be some heavy rain with a few of the storms.

    Weather tonight: Few showers overnight

    Showers and thunderstorms will head east through the evening. A few lingering light showers could last past midnight along the Front Range. It will be mostly cloudy overnight. Temperatures will be comfortable with upper 50s and low 60s across metro Denver and the eastern plains. There will be more refreshing 40s in parts of the Colorado mountains.

    Weather tomorrow: Scattered thunderstorms and warm

    Saturday will start off with some clouds, followed by some sunshine for several hours. Scattered showers are expected to return during the afternoon and evening. There will be fewer storms with the best chance for rain sliding south of metro Denver across the Palmer Divide and into southeast Colorado. Temperatures will stay below normal across eastern Colorado with mainly 70s and 80s. It will remain hot with 80s and 90s across the western half of the state.
