(KRON) -- Fire crews responded to an apartment fire Thursday afternoon in Rohnert Park, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety. Multiple families were displaced after the incident came under control.
The fire, which investigators said was accidental and electrical in nature, broke out in the 6300 block of Country Club Drive. Arriving firefighters from Rohnert Park, the Rancho Adobe Fire District and the Sonoma County Fire District searched for trapped residents and made an “aggressive” fire attack, officials said. The blaze was quickly brought under control.
A total of six families were displaced, Rohnert Park DPS said. The families are being assisted by the American Red Cross in arranging temporary housing.
No residents or firefighters were injured.
