Social media is bubbling up with excitement over the prospective return of a once-popular drink spun out by a Coca-Cola Company brand.
Loyal fans may recall several years ago when the beverage titan unveiled an expanded lineup of sugar-free offerings and then proceeded to take them away shortly thereafter, a move so many consumers were disgruntled about up until now it seems.
On Thursday, trusted food blog SodaSeekers revealed that one of the two previously discontinued zero-sugar lines initially launched by the company in 2020 would be making a grand return this year and it looks like the deciders at Coke chose the right vertical.

"Never good when I find these things out from social media lol. This is super exciting!" one Instagram user cheered in response to the news. "They were amazing!!"
"Omg I loved these!!!!!" another gushed.
"Finally coming back!" a third cheered, "I miss the blue one."
"Omg the mountain berry was my favorite," someone else said, "I’m so excited!!!"
Several others were so thrilled they could only manage to get a simple phrase out like "OMG" and "YESSSS."
While the company has not yet officially announced the return, the bloggers were told Powerade Power Water will be re-released in four flavors later this year: Mountain Berry Blast, Watermelon, Tropical Pineapple and Strawberry Kiwi.
A spokesperson for the brand was not immediately available for comment.

The re-released version of the hydration beverage is rumored to bring with it a new formulation that "features 50% more electrolytes than Propel and [Powerade] zero sugar."
It's suspected to be released on or around September 22, wherever other Powerade products are sold, which would make sense as Powerade's limited-edition summertime flavor series are likely to be phased out around the same time (it's worth noting that the retail line released in full-sugar, its sugar-free option remains exclusive to Wendy’s).
