ROCHESTER, N.Y. — ‘Shakespeare in the Park’ is set to return to Highland Park Bowl Friday with a special production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
The Rochester Community Players held their final dress rehearsal Thursday.
“Not only do we have our local actors but we also have several featured dancers and we have some original music that was composed by a local musician named Seth Faergolzia,” said Lizz Kd. “So it’s sort of the marriage of dance and music and acting all in one.”
This is the 28th Shakespeare in the Park production presented by the Rochester Community Players and the Monroe County Parks Department.
According to the Rochester Community Players, they first staged this play at the Highland Park Bowl in July of 2000.
The show is free to attend. It will run every night from Wednesday through Sunday at 8 p.m., starting Friday and continuing through July 26.
