DENVER (KDVR) -- Officials are evacuating campgrounds at Black Canyon of the Gunnison due to two fires in the park.
Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control is responding to a fire on the north rim of the canyon, located in southwest Colorado in Montrose County. The Colorado State Patrol is also assisting in the evacuations of the campgrounds in the area.
The Division of Fire Prevention and Control said there are two fires burning, the one on the north rim and one near the south entrance of the Canyon.
Colorado's Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management are supporting local emergency management for the fires.
