SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A dumpster fire in San Francisco’s Cayuga Terrace neighborhood spread to a nearby building and prompted evacuations Thursday morning, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
Fire crews were on scene at 7:27 a.m. on the 4700 block of Mission Street for the report of a dumpster fire. The response was upgraded shortly after to a one-alarm fire as the flames moved into the nearby building, SFFD said.
Multiple occupants of the building were evacuated by firefighters. No injuries have been reported.
The public is advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes due to the fire department activity.
