For a segment on Today, NBC News correspondent Janis Mackey Frayer reported from Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand.
"And the best part is Moo Deng's indifference to all of it," Mackey Frayer said of the hippo's birthday celebration. "She spent the whole day just kind of lumbering around, happy, moist and unbothered."
"Wow," Bush Hager replied as her co-anchors started cracking up.
"But enough about my weekend!" Savannah Guthrie joked.
Bush Hager then added, "Seriously, I was like, 'That's exactly how I'd like to spend my birthday,'" as Craig Melvin covered his face while laughing.
Al Roker then quipped, "Laying around, being most."
