The Office Star Reveals Most Random Texter in Cast Group Chat

Angela Kinsey revealed everything fans want to know about The Office cast's group chat, including which star sends the "most random" messages.

After confirming that she and her co-stars from the beloved NBC sitcom have a group text called "Office Peeps," Kinsey, 54, shared insight into who is the most active in the thread.

“Interestingly enough, I feel like Rainn [Wilson] checks in the most, which is very sweet, and I don't think anyone's annoying, but the most random will be Creed [Bratton], and I think that's very on brand,” the actress, who appeared as Angela Martin on all nine season, told People in an interview published on Thursday, July 10. “One time, he made a little Christmas song with a Santa hat that flopped around. You never know what you're going to get.”

The Office is clearly close to Kinsey's heart, and she co-hosts the rewatch podcast "Office Ladies" with her former co-star and best friend Jenna Fischer. Not only has Kinsey watched the sitcom for her podcast, but she's also watching the show again with her three kids.

She shares daughter Isabel Ruby, 17, with ex Warren Lieberstein, while Kinsey is also a stepmother to her husband Joshua Snyder’s kids Cade, 15, and Jack, 17.

“They started watching The Office with me, and they loved the show," she said.

However, Kinsey admitted that her kids aren't always happy with her character's choices. "They thought I was too mean to Phyllis. That was one of their biggest comments,” she said, referring to Phyllis Smith’s character, Phyllis Vance. “But then Phyllis did come for Angela Martin, too. They were true frenemies, I would say. They could not believe the scene, though, where she threw the Post-it notes in my face."

Kinsey's character was known for being a “fun-stopper" in the office, though she insisted that her kids view her differently.

“I don't know if they always think of me as funny. They think I make a lot of funny character voices and noises,” she shared. “I’m always doing something that probably is annoying.”
