Weld County residents can dispose of unwanted or broken electronic devices at two free events this summer.
The first opportunity will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26 at Severance High School, 1200 Hidden Valley Parkway.
Residents can attend the second event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at the Island Grove Grandstand Arena’s east parking lot at 501 N. 14th Ave., Greeley.
Accepted items, which include “computer monitors, laptops, televisions, microwaves and much more,” must fit in a standard residential vehicle, according to a Weld County news release. Those who wish to participate must also ensure materials are easily accessible for unloading.
Event coordinators will not allow trailers or accept business waste, the release said.
Residents should consider making reservations to secure a drop-off time by going to bit.ly/44mbgyd.
The event will accept last-minute, drive-up participants if space allows. However, residents without reservations may have to wait or return at a later time.
These free electronic waste events are made possible by the Weld County commissioners, the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and the Household Hazardous Waste program.
