The 4th Mahoning Valley Irish Festival takes place this weekend at Penguin City Brewing Company.
The entertainment lineup includes The Irish Brigadiers, Achill Crossing, Dullahan, Burke School of Irish Dance and County Mayo on Friday, and Seamus, The Fiddlechicks & the Irish Badland Band, The Low Kings, Beltaine, Burke School of Irish Dance, Eamon Knuff, Steel Clover & Company and Callahan & O’Connor on Saturday.
Other attractions include food and craft vendors, a chainsaw log-carving exhibit, children’s activities and the Youngstown Lions Club’s turtle races at noon Saturday.
This year’s Mayor of Malarkey is John Rudy, operating partner of The Varsity Club in Youngstown.
The festival runs from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at Penguin City, 460 E. Federal St., Youngstown. Admission is $5 at the door with children ages 11 and younger admitted free.
