The Valley’s Janet Caperna made waves during the cast’s trip to Hawaii after she accused Danny Booko of sexual assault — and her costars have something to say about the harsh words.
“It is so damaging to say things like that about someone,” Kristen Doute said during the Tuesday, July 8, episode of The Valley After Show. Kristen, 42, noted that “as the wife of a lawyer,” Janet “should know that.”
Danny’s wife, Nia Sanchez, pointed out that the situation “doesn’t involve her,” asking, “So it’s like, why are you even speaking about this anyway?”
During Tuesday night’s episode of The Valley, Janet, 35, raised eyebrows when she brought up Danny, 41, and Nia, 35, while trying to squash her beef with Kristen on a cruise around the island.
The Valley’s Janet Caperna Accuses Danny Booko of Sexual Assault
Tensions rose after Janet said, “[Did I] attack Danny and Nia, or [did] I [say] out loud that Danny did what he did? Yes, that he sexually assaulted Jasmine [Goode] and Melissa [Marie].”
At the time, Kristen went straight to Danny, who asked, “How many times have I owned up for it? You can’t just keep bringing it up like that.”
Koury Angelo/BravoEarlier this season, Danny apologized after learning that when he was blackout drunk, he put his hand on Jasmine’s thigh and asked her to “get daddy a drink,” referring to himself as “daddy.”
He also apologized to Jasmine’s girlfriend, Melissa, whose butt he grabbed during the same Halloween party. While the group agree that Danny crossed a line with his actions, they are nearly all in agreement that Janet took it too far accusing him of sexual assault.

“For her to start throwing those words around like she did, so just nonchalant and blatantly, it was just like, all right, there’s no coming back from this right now,” Danny said on the After Show.
Janet’s husband, Jason Caperna, however, claimed that Janet “never wanted” to “keep talking about Danny,” pointing the blame at Kristen for inciting the drama.
“We’re still talking about it because of that fight that was instigated by Kristen saying, ‘Well stop attacking Danny. Stop attacking Danny,’” Jason said during his After Show interview. “Well, it’s like, ‘What’s my defense to that? The only reason I said these things is because he did these things. What things did he do? A, B and C.’ Kristen, congrats, you forced this out of her.”
Jason Caperna and Janet Caperna. Griffin Nagel/BravoJanet, for her part, admitted to using “harsh language” that might’ve ruffled Danny and Nia’s feathers.
“I understand why that was a tough pill for Nia and Danny to swallow,” she said during the After Show, noting, “At the same time, when you put your hands on somebody’s butt without consent, that falls under the term that I used.”
Jasmine, who was part of the alleged sexual assault situation, admitted she understood Janet’s claims, but said she and Melissa didn’t need her help.
Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko. Griffin Nagel/Bravo“We already had our conversation with Danny and decided we were going to try and move forward from that moment and, like, drop it and move forward,” Jasmine, 38, explained. “It just sucks because she’s not wrong when she says it was SA, because it kinda technically is.”
Zack Wickham said that they looked up the definition of sexual assault and learned the definition “is very broad.” He said, “I definitely would’ve used a different term than that. But I guess technically [it is].”
Janet confessed, “I probably should’ve used lighter words,” but quipped, “I would love for them to let me know what words they’re OK with using to describe the situation.”
While Janet doesn’t seem to regret her remarks — she also accused Danny of saying “I have a weakness for hot girls in little skirts” at a bar while acting “inappropriate” — but Jasmine is ready to close the chapter.
“It’s to a point now where me and Melissa need to take care of it,” Jasmine concluded. “If it’s something that I want to talk about then I should be still talking about it. No one else.”
Nia is also ready to turn the page, saying that she’s done with Janet. “Honestly, I don’t believe anything she says anymore,” Nia quipped.

She does, however, believe her husband. “I love my husband; he’s an incredible man,” Nia said. “It’s so disheartening that someone would say something like that.”
Danny, meanwhile, reminded viewers, “I have gone above and beyond to take ownership and make things right to the best of my ability with the incident and those that I had hurt. That’s all I can do.”
The Valley airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
