Plus, fans can get an extra 25% off if they use the code "PREORDER25" at checkout. The picture book is expected to be released on January 13, 2026.
Co-written with comedian and senior writer of SNL, Bryan Tucker and illustrations done by Tony Neal, Unfunny Bunny goes through Bunny's first day of school. His goal is to be the funniest kid in the classroom, but when he makes his jokes, all of them fall flat.

Unfunny Bunny is not Thompson's first book. In December 2023, he published his memoir, When I Was Your Age: Life Lessons, Funny Stories & Questionable Parenting Advice from a Professional Clown, which talks about his time so far on SNL and his experiences as a father.
The 47-year-old actor joined SNL during their 29th season in 2003, making him the longest-running cast member in SNL history. Beforehand, he was the star of the sitcom Kenan & Kel alongside Kel Mitchell, which aired on Nickelodeon from 1996 to 2000.
On top of SNL, the father of two daughters also co-starred in the 1997 film Good Burger and starred in its 2023 sequel, Good Burger 2. Thompson also had his own NBC sitcom, Kenan, which followed a widowed father and morning show host. The series aired from 2021 to 2022. He also lent his voice to many animated films such as Trolls World Tour, The Smurfs movies and Rock Dog.
Fans can preorder Unfunny Bunnyhere and purchase a signed copy of the book for $19.99. SNL is currently on its summer break, but the show's 51st season is set to start in late September or early October.
