Former Mizzou coach Gary Pinkel is facing a DWI charge.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch noted Pinkel’s listing in online arrest records for Missouri State Highway Patrol. Pinkel was arrested at 11:46 p.m. Monday night in Camden County on a driving while intoxicated (alcohol) charge. He has been released.

Officially, Pinkel posted a record of 113-73 at Mizzou. The program vacated wins from 2015, giving the Tigers an 0-7 record in Pinkel’s final season. On the field, MU won 5 games in 2015.
During the 2015 season, Pinkel announced his retirement. He cited a non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis and desire to spend time with his family in making the decision.
Pinkel guided Mizzou football during its move from the Big 12 to the SEC. The program won the SEC East in 2 of its first 3 SEC seasons, reaching the conference title game. Over 2013 and ’14, Pinkel’s Tigers went a combined 23-5, picking up postseason wins in the Cotton Bowl and Citrus Bowl.
