ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A cold front crossed over Western New York Monday evening and this brought some relief from the higher temperatures and humidity. In addition, most of the day had cloud cover which blocked most of the mid-summer sun. However, the tropical air is not too far away from Rochester and a warm front will be approaching the area again over the next 48 hours. This will slowly increase the heat and humidity for Tuesday and Wednesday. As the humidity rises, the chance of thundershowers will slow increase through mid-week.
