WALWORTH, N.Y. — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says former Walworth Town Supervisor Susie Jacobs admitted to taking money from the town she wasn’t entitled to.
The sheriff’s office says between Sept. 14, 2021 and Jan. 1, 2022, Jacobs authorized herself to be paid more than $12,000 for comptroller work without the approval of the town board.
On Monday, Jacobs pleaded guilty to misapplication of property and was released on a conditional discharge. She has been ordered to pay the money she stole back to the Town of Walworth.
