Samsung Electronics is hosting its third Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025 with the latest big reveal on its upcoming technology.

The South Korean firm is expected to disclose fresh details on its fold-and-flip mobile phones, its smartwatches and possibly its powered headset.
An invitation to the event on YouTube has teased tech fans with “ultra unfolds” which could be a reference to changes to its Galaxy Z Fold phone.
But all is yet to be unveiled.
Here’s what we know so far about Unpacked and what we can expect.
The next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked will be held on Wednesday 9 July. Unlike previous events, which have taken place in San Jose, Paris, and Seoul, this one will take place in Brooklyn, New York. The scheduled start time is 10am local time, which will be 3pm in the UK.

Those who are unable to be there in person can watch the livestream from the comfort of their home. It will be streamed on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel. There is no need to register to watch the event.

The last Galaxy Unpacked event in January this year saw the launch of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25. New AI capabilities, including the Now Bar, Now Brief and the integration of Gemini Live were revealed..
This time the expectation is all around foldable phones and the Galaxy smart watch.
The Galaxy Z Fold – the phone is expected to be upgraded with a possible new name of Galaxy Z Fold 7. Thinner in design, it may now have new AI features, a more powerful processor and a triple camera system with 200MP main sensor. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also in line for an upgrade, becoming thinner and lighter with the potential for a new larger display screen and a larger battery with a longer life. There is also rumours of a lower-priced model to compete with other makes low-cost flip phones. A Trifold phone – there is speculation a phone with two creases in its display could be unveiled at the July event before being released in October. A Galaxy Watch 8 – an upgrade to Samsung’s smartwatch collection is expected with the possible launch of Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. There could also be a Galaxy Watch Ultra. Among the new features speculated on are a blood glucose monitor and squarish case design.
