It’s been almost a month since The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson died, and his daughter Carnie Wilson was just spotted for the first time since his passing.
Carnie and her husband, Rob Bonfiglio, were seen stopping by a car dealership on July 6, in the pictures shared by the Daily Mail. The Wilson Phillips singer wore a light blue top with lace detailing around the neckline and cuffs with cropped white pants. Her dark hair was pulled back from her face and she topped off the look with some gold accessories and strappy brown sandals.
The cofounder of The Beach Boys died on June 11 at the age of 82 after quietly battling dementia and other serious health issues in recent years. A little over a year after the death of his wife, Melinda Wilson, Brian’s seven children filed for a conservatorship after announcing their father was suffering from a “major neurocognitive disorder (such as dementia).”
“Following the passing of Brian’s beloved wife Melinda, after careful consideration and consultation among Brian, his seven children, Gloria Ramos and Brian’s doctors (and consistent with family processes put in place by Brian and Melinda), we are confirming that longtime Wilson family representatives LeeAnn Hard and Jean Sievers will serve as Brian’s co-conservators of the person,” Brian’s family said in a statement to People in February.
In May, the courts officially appointed Brian’s business manager, Hard, and longtime manager and publicist, Sievers, as his conservators. Just two months later, it was announced that Brian had died.
"We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away," the family said in a statement shared via Instagram at the time. "We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving. We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love & Mercy."
