All of Hillsborough is under a boil-water advisory after the Eno River crested at record-breaking levels; two individuals are confirmed dead with two more still missing; dozens of residents had to be rescued and dozens more were displaced from their homes, with a shelter now open at Smith Middle School; and town and county government agencies were affected as well – most notably in Carrboro, where a flood wrecked five of the town’s seven solid waste trucks.
