Travelers around the world became increasingly conscious not only of safety, but also of cleanliness and hygiene in air travel.
With the resurgence of travelers after the pandemic, public expectations rose significantly.
As for the aviation sector, airlines raced to meet these heightened expectations.
What’s more, one carrier stood out from the rest, earning the top spot in a new ranking.
A new report released by Skytrax, an international air transport rating organization, named the cleanest airlines across different continents.
As for North America, Delta Air Lines earned the title of Cleanest Airline in the United States.
Considered as one of the "Big Three" U.S. carriers, it is not only recognized for its sanitation but also for its customer service and on-time performance.

— Delta (@Delta) June 5, 2025Delta Air Lines took the top spot among the top U.S. airlines for seven years, as mentioned by The Points Guy, a reputable travel media platform.
However, despite receiving notable recognitions, the largest and oldest U.S. airlines failed to secure a spot on the 2025 list of the world’s cleanest airlines.
This year’s top honor went to EVA Air, a Taiwanese five-star airline, followed by Japan’s ANA All Nippon Airways. Rounding out the top five were Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways—the national carrier of Qatar—and Singapore Airlines, Singapore’s flagship airline.
Here is the list of airlines that made it to the top 20, as noted by Skytrax.
