Kevin Bacon may have launched his career in the early '80s, but now, more than 45 years later, the legendary actor is proving that he’s aging like fine wine — or maybe a smooth whiskey.
Ahead of his 67th birthday, the Footloose star shared a video alongside his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, as she cooked up a pasta dish for the two of them.
While the meal itself looked delicious, fans were equally focused on Bacon’s appearance. “You guys look amazing,” one fan gushed, while others couldn’t help but shout out his voluminous hairdo. “Nice hair, Kevin,” one wrote, with another adding, “He still has the best hair.”

It seems Sedgwick agrees with the sentiment. Last year, she shared a throwback photo of the couple, captioning the post, “Aging (almost?? hopefully??) as well as a fine whiskey.”
The Born on the Fourth of July actress isn't wrong — fans have long said the two are aging gracefully. For his birthday last year, Bacon showed fans what 66 looked like, and it included a shirtless snap that featured his toned physique.
Wearing an unbuttoned shirt that displayed his abs, the candid post quickly drew attention, with one fan summing it up perfectly, “For the love of God, will you start aging!”
It’s clear Bacon has been thriving since his breakout role in Footloose thrusted him to fame in the early '80s.
After starring in A Few Good Men, Apollo 13, Mystic River and X-Men: First Class, the actor has embraced a more relaxed lifestyle.
Earlier this year, he reflected on the pressures of fame and how it once made him want to walk away from it all.
“I think I had gone through the intensity of Footloose, and exploding onto a kind of national stardom, and then trying to deal with that,” he shared on Mythical Kitchen. “It felt like zero to 60.”
At the time, Bacon said he fantasized about retreating from the spotlight entirely, “I just thought to myself, ‘I'll just be a guy with a dog and live alone. I don't need anything. I don't need anybody.’”
That country fantasy became a reality as he settled down in western Connecticut, and eventually married Sedgwick. While she initially went along with the rustic lifestyle, she eventually grew tired of it.
“For a while, quite a few years actually, she sort of folded into that, and we kind of became that together,” Bacon said. “And we lived in this little place, and I chopped the wood, and when we weren't working, she brought a dog into the mix."
Sedgwick was ready for a major change after she found herself missing the city. “She said, ‘This is horrible. I want to go out to lunch. I want to go to the movies or the theater. I want to shop in the Village,’” Bacon recounted.
The conversation about leaving the country for New York City turned into what Bacon called “the biggest fight we’ve ever had in our lives.” But in the end, he’s grateful they made the move.
“It was the greatest thing we ever did,” he admitted. “She was so right. Raising kids in Manhattan was the best idea.”
