Firefighters are battling a grass fire in Suisun City on Monday that has prompted authorities to start evacuating some homes nearby.
The fire is burning in the field behind the post office, according to the Suisun City Fire Department.
Structures are threatened and both firefighters and police officers are evacuating homes along Wigeon Way and Snow Drive.
Firefighters have called for a three-alarm response to the fire.
Exactly what started the fire is unknown at this point.
