Greeley launched a large water project Monday in the Farr neighborhood to improve water and fire protection services and reduce the need for future repairs.
As part of the project, the city will replace an aging water line under 11th Avenue, relocate old water lines and install new water meters, according to a city news release.
Drivers on 11th Avenue can expect delays between 24th and 25th streets through Aug. 25. The project may also require occasional closures on 25th Street between 10th and 17th avenues.
Residents on the east side of 11th Avenue will receive temporary water during construction, and other nearby homes may have short water shutoffs, the release states. The city will notify residents before any shutoffs.
