More than 420 flights are delayed at Denver International Airport amid a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of the Denver metro.
In total, 428 flights have been delayed at DIA including flights in and out of the airport, according to flightaware.com.
Eighteen flights have been canceled at DIA as of 2:45 p.m.

Scattered storms are forecasted across the Interstate 25 corridor and will become stronger as they move east. Winds could reach up to 75 miles per hour, the weather service said. The storms could cause hail up to 2 inches in diameter.
The counties under the thunderstorm watch include Adams, Arapahoe, Cheyenne, El Paso, Elbert, Kiowa, Kit Carson, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld and Yuma.
