The city of Greeley will host a community visioning event Wednesday for residents to provide input on the future development and infrastructure of western Greeley.
The event, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Aims Welcome Center, 4901 W. 20th St., will feature a talk by nationally recognized planner and walkability expert Jeff Speck, according to a city of Greeley news release.
Speck wrote “Walkable City,” which details the key role of planning walkable areas in cities.
The goal of the meeting is to gain input for a subarea plan, a planning roadmap that ensure housing, parks, transportation and jobs are being designed around actual community needs, the city said in the release.
