ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A two-story home in the Upper Falls neighborhood caught fire on Monday morning. It took 24 firefighters around 20 minutes to put out the flames.
The Rochester Fire Department responded around 2 a.m. and found heavy smoke at the house on Siebert Place off North Clinton Avenue. Fire officials say the flames extended to the attic. Crews searched the house and found no one inside.
No one was injured and RFD is still investigating the cause of the fire. Crews remained at the scene for several hours after the fire to put out any remaining hot spots.
