SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- An armed suspect was shot and killed by police Sunday while officers responded to a residence in South San Jose, according to authorities.
The San Jose Police Department was dispatched at 2:24 p.m. to a home in the area of Recife Way and Vargas Drive on the report of a domestic disturbance. Officers found a suspect who was armed “with what appeared to be multiple firearms,” police said.
During the encounter, police shot and killed the suspect. No law enforcement was injured during the shooting, SJPD said.
No further information on the fatal police shooting was immediately available.
Police said there is no ongoing public safety threat.
