ROCHESTER, N.Y. – It has been another day of 90-degree weather and if you are keeping track, this is the fifth day so far this summer season. Officially, the Rochester Airport measured a high temperature of 92 degrees with one more day of uncomfortable yet to come. A slow-moving cold front will gradually move closer to the area on Monday, and this will increase the likelihood of a few showers and maybe a passing thunderstorm for Monday afternoon. At this time, the News10NBC First Alert meteorologists have not issued a yellow alert, but we continue to monitor the data and modeling for any changes.
This eventual cold front will pass over Western New York late Monday afternoon and evening which will “knock-down” the heat and humidity for Tuesday and Wednesday. Expect more comfortable conditions through the middle of the week with lower amounts of heat and humidity.
Stay tuned to News10NBC First Alert weather for updates on the forecast.
