CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- An officer-involved shooting is currently under investigation in uptown Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD).

The incident happened Sunday morning, July 6, in the 600 block of North Church Street. CMPD’s Homicide Unit is handling the investigation, and authorities are urging people to avoid the area.
